With several clicks, you can install BibleReader over the air, directly to your device—no need to use your desktop computer at all!
With all the changes in the BibleReader program, Bibles and books are also completely reformatted. When you switch to BibleReader 4.0, you must also upgrade your Olive Tree titles by downloading a fresh copy of each file from your Personal Library. To browse the titles available for BibleReader 4.0, go to OliveTree.com and make sure your current device is is set to "BlackBerry (OS 4.2+ with media card)".
*In tech-speak, "in beta" or "beta testing" means a program is still being tested and improved, while "in production" means the program is stable and ready for the general public, with all features working correctly. This doesn't mean you'll never find bugs in a production build. If you do encounter any problems, please report them on the BlackBerry forum.

New Releases
New! Revised Common Lectionary, Year B (2008-2009)
Does your church use the lectionary? With this year's Revised Common Lectionary on your mobile device, you will always know what readings are coming up.
Beginning with Advent on November 30, the Revised Common Lectionary offers the cycle of church readings for every worship service: an Old Testament reading, a Psalm, a reading from one of the Epistles, and a Gospel text. This year (Year B), the lectionary will lead church communities worldwide in a detailed examination of the Gospel of Mark.

New! What is a Healthy Church Member?
God intends for us to play an active and vital part in the body of Christ, the local church. He wants us to experience the local church as a home more profoundly wonderful and meaningful than any other place on earth. He intends for his churches to be healthy places, and for the members of those churches to be healthy as well. Every believer can and should contribute to the mission of the local church, and will experience profound spiritual growth as a result. What is a Healthy Church Member? shows church members, pastors, and church leaders what healthy and rewarding participation looks like.
What Is a Healthy Church Member? takes its cue from Mark Dever’s book What Is a Healthy Church? (also availble from Olive Tree), which explored what a healthy church looks like biblically and historically. In this new work, pastor Thabiti Anyabwile attempts to answer the natural next question: “What does a healthy church member look like in the light of Scripture?”

New! Whiter Than Snow
What do you do when you’ve really blown it? Is sin really as dangerous—and is grace really as powerful—as the Bible says? Is there such a thing as a new beginning?
Sin and grace—these are the two themes of our lives. We all make mistakes, and we all need to start over again. In Psalm 51, David tells his story of moral failure, personal awareness, grief, confession, repentance, commitment, and hope. And because David’s story is every believer’s story, Psalm 51 is every believer’s psalm. It tells how we, as broken sinners, can be brutally honest with God and yet stand before him without fear.
Designed for busy believers and ideal for mobile format, Whiter Than Snow offers fifty-two personal meditations, reminding readers that by God’s grace there is mercy for every wrong and grace for every new beginning.

As more and more Olive Tree customers have tried the new BibleReader for BlackBerry with Media Card, we've had a number of questions from users. Here are some of the most frequently asked:
How can I tell if BibleReader for BlackBerry with Media Card will work on my BlackBerry?
BibleReader 4.0 for BlackBerry works on Operating Systems 4.2 and higher. To check the Operating System (or OS, or version number) on your BlackBerry device, select Options and About. It's a long number listed near the top, often with v standing for version (like v4.3.0.127).
Media card? What's that? How do I know if I have one?
Newer BlackBerry devices (such as the BlackBerry Pearl (8100 series), BlackBerry Curve (83xx series), and BlackBerry Bold (90xx series)) allow you to add an additional memory card. These tiny memory disks, known as "media cards", "storage cards", "memory cards", or "microSD cards," are about the size of your thumbnail, and are purchased separately. Once you add a media card to your BlackBerry, you're ready to install BibleReader 4.0.
Which Olive Tree books work on this new BibleReader?
Since BibleReader 4.0 is a new program, it can't read your old files for Palm or Windows Mobile, or even the previous BlackBerry version. More and more titles are being converted to BibleReader 4.0 format every day, but not all titles are available yet. New titles go up almost every week, so if you're looking for something specific, keep checking back! To see a list of titles available now for BibleReader 4.0, look here, and when you browse Olive Tree's website, make sure to set your device to BlackBerry (OS 4.2+ with media card).
How do I get my books?
You can download books directly to your BlackBerry from inside the BibleReader program. Just go to the Library screen and select "My Account" from the menu. Enter your Olive Tree username and password when prompted, and you'll see a list of all the books you've already purchased that are availabe in BibleReader 4.0 format (see the previous question on the new BibleReader 4.0 format). Click on a title to download it over the air!
We're proud of our new BibleReader for BlackBerry, and we want Olive Tree users to enjoy it. We hope these questions and answers help!
Sincerely,
~The Team at Olive Tree
