Bibles and Bible Study Resources
Giving you the tools to read and study the Bible, no matter where you are, is what Olive Tree does best. Check out the resources below to see if any of these might aid your personal Bible study, and help you go deeper in your relationship with God's Word.
NETBible® The New English Translation, or NETBible®, is a modern translation based entirely on the original languages of the Bible. Included are almost 60,000 translator notes based on the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts. A free version of the NET Bible® with limited notes is also available. Click here for more information.
Easy-to-Read Version Reading the Bible is for everyone. The ERV translation, by the World Bible Translation Center, means that unfamiliar words and concepts won't stand in the way of understanding the Bible's message. Perfect for young and second-language readers, or for outreach situations. Click here for more information.
Ryrie Study Bible Notes Compiled by Dr. Charles Ryrie, a leading Biblical scholar, the Ryrie Study Bible Notes offer extensive verse-by-verse notes on the scriptures (10,000 explanatory notes in all), as well as a synopsis of Bible doctrine, comprehensive outlines of each book, and an index to the principle subjects covered in the notes. The Ryrie Study Bible notes will work with Bibles already stored on your device, or you can purchase the Ryrie Study Bible Collection, which includes the KJV Bible. Click here for more information.
New Scofield Bible Notes Revised in 1967, these notes are an adaptation of the original Scofield notes, written by evangelist and Bible conference leader Cyrus I. Scofield. The New Scofield Bible Notes are based on the King James Bible, but can be used with any Bible on your mobile device. You can also purchase the New Scofield Study Bible Collection, which includes the KJV Bible. Click here for more information.
Commentary Classics Collection This collection of 10 commentaries includes the New Scofield Bible Notes, as well as commentaries by H.A. Ironside, F.B. Meyer, Matthew Henry, Keil & Delitzch, and more. Save 64% over cover price on these collected titles. Click here for more information.
Key Word Commentary This unique, enhanced-outline commentary helps readers grasp the "key insights" of every chapter of the Bible, providing key words, key verses, key persons/events, and more for each chapter. Because of its unique format, this commentary offers improved "big picture" understanding of the Bible as a whole. Click here for more information.
ESV
The text of the English Standard Version Bible has been updated by the publisher, Crossway Books. If you purchased the ESV in the past, you can download the new updated ESV to your mobile device at no charge. Simply login to your customer account, click on Personal Library, and click on the ESV in your list of products. Click here for more information on the updated ESV.
The updated ESV text has not yet been added to Olive Tree bundles! If you purchased your copy of the ESV as part of a bundle, such as iLumina™ Mobile with ESV, please stay tuned! We will update each bundle with the new ESV text in the next few weeks, and you will be able to download a new version for free.
ISV
The International Standard Version translation has been updated as well! Previously including only the New Testament, the ISV now includes Psalms and Proverbs. The updated version is available at Olive Tree for free download. Based fully on original languages, the ISV strikes a balance between literal and idiomatic translation. It preserves formal and structural nuances of original language texts, while rendering the text in smooth, contemporary English. Click here to download the ISV for free.

New! Healing for a Broken World
Do today’s believers know how to be not simply "good citizens" but good Christian citizens? Are they ready to respond to contemporary public policy issues such as genocide, AIDS, global warming, and human trafficking according to Scripture rather than any particular political agenda?
With American evangelicals having more political influence today than ever before, this book is especially important. Beginning with the foundational biblical principles that are relevant to our lives as Christian citizens no matter the topic, author Steve Monsma then highlights crucial global issues that call for a Christian response. Forgoing ready-made answers and eschewing the simplistic and polarizing labels of liberal and conservative, Monsma encourages a reflective, thoroughly biblical response to difficult and controversial issues.

New! Vintage Jesus
In this popular-level theology book, authors Mark Driscoll and Gary Breshears introduce the person and work of Christ to those seeking answers to some of the most fundamental religious questions.
Some two thousand years after he walked the earth, Jesus Christ is still a hot topic. For all the Da Vinci Code-esque conspiracy theories and academic controversies about Jesus that have arisen in recent years, the truth about his character, nature, and work has not changed. So what exactly is the truth about Jesus Christ?
In this book, nonbelievers and new Christians asking the toughest, most confounding questions will find solid, biblical answers presented in a relevant and accessible way.

SUPPORT TIPS: NEW SOFTWARE FAQs
As more and more Olive Tree customers try our software on iPhone and BlackBerry with Storage Card, we've had a lot of questions. Here are some of the most frequently asked.
How do I install BibleReader on my BlackBerry with Storage Card?
You can do it manually, or OTA (over the air). Instructions for both can be found here.
Over the air? How convenient! So, can I download all the Bibles and eBooks to my BlackBerry with Storage Card over the air too?
No, unfortunately OTA installation isn't enabled yet on Bibles or eBooks. Only the BibleReader itself uses OTA installation. Directions on how to manually install Bibles and other books on your BlackBerry with Storage card are here.
I love/hate this thing about the BlackBerry with Storage Card Beta version. or I have a great idea that would make it even better!
This feedback is exactly what Olive Tree developers want to hear. Make sure to post your comments on the BlackBerry Beta forum.
Will the BlackBerry with Storage Card Beta version read the Bible I purchased last year?
No, the new BibleReader for BlackBerry with Storage Card needs new files in the latest format. It can't read your old files for Palm or Windows Mobile, or even the previous BlackBerry version. More and more titles are being converted to this new format every day, but not all titles are available for the new BibleReader yet. If you have already purchased a certan title, check your Personal Library to see if an updated copy is available. You can also download any available Free Resources for BlackBerry with Storage Card. A list of all available titles for BlackBerry with Storage Card is here.
What titles are available for iPhone?
Look here for a complete listing of titles in each bundle available on iTunes.
Why do I have a separate application icon for each Bible I buy on iPhone? or Why can't I buy individual titles on iTunes?
When you shop on iTunes, you don't buy books—you buy an application, which is BibleReader plus Bibles and/or book titles. If you make two separate purchases, like buying the ESV Study Bundle and the NAB Bible, you end up with two application icons, and you have to exit one application to open a book in another. We at Olive Tree know that's not the convenient functionality Olive Tree users have come to expect, but it is how Apple has chosen to distribute content for iPhone, and we're bound by their rules. We're currently working with Apple to find a better solution for this issue.
Want to know more? Check out the discussion on Olive Tree's iPhone forum. StephenJ is one of Olive Tree's software developers, and his posts help explain why we've chosen to do things this way, and what our development plans are for the future. Also see this section on our iPhone webpage, which explains how BibleReader works differently on iPhone than it does on other platforms.
We hope these questions and answers offer you some help as you get to know our new programs! If you want to be part of the latest discussion on these new programs, be sure to check out the BlackBerry Beta Forum and the iPhone BibleReader Forum.
Sincerely,
~The Team at Olive Tree
